Terrorism

Keeping children safe both in and out of school is our top priority.  In light of recent events, you may wish to access information that will help you to explain some of the tragic scenes that we have seen in London & Manchester.  To help with this, we want to provide sources of information to help both parents and children deal with the type of news that we have seen in recent weeks.  There are many useful websites that have age appropriate tools to help explain these events and we have detailed some of them below.  Please feel free to contact us should you need any further help or guidance.

Payments to School

Direct Payments

We are always looking for new ways to make things a little easier for parents. As a result, we are now able to take card payments in the school office. We are in the process of changing our partner to take payments directly and we will advise as soon as this is available.

Payments by Cash/Cheque

We will continue to accept cash and cheques.  Please ensure that any cash sent to school is in a named envelope or purse, and clearly states the purpose of the payment.

For example, an envelope containing dinner money should state on the envelope Dinner Money, child’s name and class.  Without this information, it is difficult to trace who has made the payment.

Road Safety

We know that parking can be an issue outside all Primary Schools.  Stoke on trent City Council are working to try and reduce accidents and inform parents of the dangers.  Please click here and follow this link to find out more.

School Meals

Our school meals are provided by Stoke-on-Trent City Council Catering Department and are cooked fresh on site. Please see below for the current menu choices. Children’s meals cost £2.60 per day which must be paid for on Monday for the whole week. You can also make card payments at the school office. Since September 2014, all Reception and KS1 children have been offered a Free School Meal. The menu below is our new menu which complies with the new School food regulations.

Cheques can be made payable to S-O-T City Council, card payment in the school office or cash to be placed in an envelope CLEARLY MARKED with your child’s name and class.

Free School Meals

All children in Reception and KS1 will be offered a Universal Free School Meal.

Please be aware that parents who are currently eligible for income based Free School Meals will STILL HAVE TO APPLY. This will allow you to access many things such as additional funding for your child, discounted or free trips etc as well as free meals.

If you are in any doubt as to whether you should apply – please speak to the school office.

A Free School Meals form is available from our useful forms section within the Parents page.

All children need to be in school on time everyday.  We understand that sometimes things don’t go to plan but if children are consistently late for school, they are missing one of the most important times of the day. It disturbs the education of every child in the class if latecomers are entering the room and so it is very important that all children are in school before the session starts. The key start and finish times are below:

START OF THE DAY

Doors open at 8.45am

All children to be in school for 9am

If you are late and the gates have been closed, you will enter through the Main office/Reception area.  We have an electronic signing in system which will need to be completed by an adult to register your child into the school.

END OF THE DAY

School closes and children leave at 3.15pm
